Chapultepec refers to a stately forest through which the Aztecs arrived at the site of Tenochtitlan. It is a Nahuatl word, which means literally, "the hill of the grasshopper."

Chapultepec, also known as Chappy, stands tall on the west side of campus. Residents all know about the amazing views that have to the west and of baseball games at Tony Gywnn Stadium. Chappy is 11 stories high and houses 540 residents! While it stands alone on the west side of campus it gives residents a closer sense of community with each other. The 3 wings on each floor are positioned well for creating a welcoming enviroment for networking and bonding. Chappy is father from Aztec Center but it is the closest to the state of the art gym (ARC). It is also close to Storm Hall which many first year students have classes at. Hall Councils will be forming after you move in. Check signs and announcements for information on info sessions and elections. Hall Council is open to all residents so don't be shy! Come check it out! RHA will send you a flyer in the mail with the welcome activities we have planned for you! Check your mail box and register as soon as possible. Submit yours to now to the Picture Website! Upload your pictures with ease! |
