Residence Hall Association - San Diego State University

Meet RHA!	PRESIDENT- Serves as Chief Executive Officer of RHA, presides over RHA meetings, represents RHA on the Associated Students Council, represents RHA Council on the Housing Community and Redevelopment Advisory Board (HCRAB), ensures open communication between hall officers, hall residents, and the Residential Education Office, carries out the duties of the organization during the summer months, recruits and trains new council members.
Meet RHA!	VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE - Serves as the Chief Financial and Operations Officer of RHA, responsible for keeping accurate, itemized accounts, formulating budgets, and distributing RHA money, serves as a member of the Aztec Shops Board of Directors, coordinates the Finals Support Kits fundraiser each semester, acts as chair of RHA in absense of President.
Meet RHA!	VICE PRESIDENT OF PROGRAMMING- Serves as the Chief Programming Officer of RHA, represents RHA on the Associated Students’ Cultural Arts and Special Events (CASE) Board, responsible for the master calendar of RHA activities (social, educational, community, sports); hall activities and any other activities related to the residence halls to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts, plans and organizes the Fall and Spring Leadership Conference in conjunction with the Program Council.
Meet RHA!	NATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR- Serves as the Chief Information Officer of RHA, represents SDSU to the Pacific Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (PACURH) and to the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH), organizes regional and national conference delegations, serves as secretary and parlimentarian of RHA, writes and distributes RHA meeting minutes and agendas.

	ACTIVITIES CHAIR - Is in charge of the monthly activity for all RHA members in RHA Council and Hall Councils. Activity examples are bowling nights, ice cream sundae socials, fun icebreakers, Cuic or UT dinning hall dinners, outdoor activities, etc. - Goal is to bring leaders in the halls together to motivate each other to work harder and help relieve stress by enjoying themselves. - Activities are mandatory by all RHA Council members. Excepted excuses involve school and work. - Presents a Motivational Moment at each week’s meeting - In charge of positive recognition of council members (ex: super leaders, birthdays, etc.)
	TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNICATIONS CHAIR - Insures communication is available between councils. - Responsible for Technology used during events. - Maintains the www.sdsuRHA.com website and updates it on a regular basis with new events.
	DIVERSITY CHAIR - Plans at least one program per semester to raise awareness of diversity - Addresses such issues as heterosexism, racism, ageism, sexism, etc.
	FINE ARTS CHAIR - Open Mic Nights Coordinator – works with the VPP and CASE to host the Open Mic Nights in the Aztec Center Starbucks. (ex. Signups, publicity, MC or find one, etc.) - Promoting the Arts (poetry, theatre, music, etc) within the halls - Plans the traveling art show within the halls
	COMMUNITY SERVICE CHAIR - Works with Red Cross to set up at least one blood drive each semester. - Publicizes community service events that residents could participate in. - Chair of AIDS Walk San Diego for RHA - Maintains the recycling Ink-jet Cartridge program. - RHA’s contact with the Green Campus Program and recycling efforts in the resident halls.
	MARKETING CHAIR - Submits articles for RHA section of Hall Street Journal each week - Finds new ways to market events to residents. - Collects information from the residents about events, concerns and anything RHA can do to help. - Publicizes information for residents from RHA - Public Relations for RHA
	NRHH CHAIR - Serves as Chief Executive Officer of National Residence Hall Honorary, presides over NRHH meetings, represents NRHH on RHA Council. - Reports on OTMs that have won and urges members to submit OTMs.
	RA LIAISON - Serves as a link between Residence Life Staff and RHA Council by keeping both groups informed about each others events and activities. (YOU MUST BE AN RA TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION)
	RECREATIONAL SPORTS CHAIR - Publicizes intramural sports in the halls. Assembling teams and explaining how to participate. - Plans one sporting event per semester that all halls can participate in. (ex. Hall teams compete for Dodgeball Champion trophy, Superbowl party in Tula, NCAA brackets contest, etc.)
	SOCIAL CHAIR - Co-Chairs the annual Vegas Nights Committee - Co-Chairs another major social event for all the halls - The Social Chair is also responsible for advising individual hall social chairs.
