Ocean Beach Printer FriendlyAddress: Abbott St, San Diego, CA (Google Maps View) Directions: Check Map Link for directions Rating: Ocean beach is definitely one of the most unique beach towns in the whole of San Diego. It is referred to as OB by anyone who knows about it, and if you see a sticker with the pairing of those two letters and a bird, this is what it is referring to. OB as a town is very fun to explore. The people you will find are very fun to interact as a general rule. You will have an occasional crazy person that you might want to steer clear of. Lots of people here do like to smoke ganja, I have found weed on tables before (bomb stuff too). There are shops that you will only ever find in OB that are fun to explore too. If you are into fresh, organic food, there is an excellent market down there to buy food at. OB tends to have lots of things going on throughtout the year, you just have to find out when and where. The waves at OB can be good at the right tide and swell. The waves are inherently on the powerful side, due to the fact that it is a beachbreak. The jetty (as you may have seen featured on the Slightly Stoopid CD) is a standout break on the right tide and swell, but it will be overly crowded and have lots of angsty locals. Don't step on any needles here and watch out for the men with beer cans at 8 am. Author: Dustin Grunbaum![]() View the Beaches photo albums now!
